Magnetic 3D Hosts Celebration of the 101st Anniversary of the First 3D Film Screening
NEW YORK, NY - JUNE 13, 2016
Magnetic 3D, the industry leader in glasses-free 3D solutions, today announced that it will host the New York Stereoscopic Association (NYSA) “3D-Day” monthly meeting this coming Wednesday, June 15, from 6:00 to 9:30 PM in the loading dock lobby area of their SoHo offices in New York City.
This month's 3D-Day extravaganza will be a celebration of the 101st anniversary of the first 3D film screening for a public audience with multiple speakers and presenters. In addition to Magnetic 3D's Allura™ Glasses-Free 3D displays, the event will feature a 4K stereoscopic monitor, a table of treasures from The Museum of Interesting Things, treats for sale by Sugar Monster Sweets, and a hands-on timeline of the evolution of 3D viewers. Presenters will include artist and protégé of Salvador Dalí, Louis Markoya, as well as the inventor of the Three Dimensional Viewing Glasses, Ken Dunkley. The NYSA will also be presenting their first ever Murray Lerner Award.
NYSA Members can reserve a free ticket to the event in advance through EventBrite. Non-members can join online or in-person at the meeting, or are welcome to attend the event as a non-member for as little as $10. This month's NYSA event is being hosted in collaboration with WeWork, an American company which provides shared workspace, community and services for entrepreneurs, freelancers, startups, and small businesses.
